TPS Extension and Redesignation for Syrian Nationals

posted Jan 5, 2015, 2:33 PM by Michael Vosilla   [ updated Jan 5, 2015, 2:33 PM ]

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the existing Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Syrian nationals until September 30, 2016 for TPS beneficiaries who file for the extension during the re-registration period that runs from January 5, 2015 through March 6, 2015.

Further, DHS has announced the redesignation of TPS for Syrian nationals not previously eligible for TPS who were residing in the United States on January 5, 2015.  These individuals can now apply for TPS status and work authorization.
If you think that you may be eligible for TPS, please contact LaFountain & Wollman, P.C. to set up a consultation with an immigration lawyer to discuss your eligibility.
For more information on TPS, please check the USCIS TPS website at: www.uscis.gov/tps.
