Signed into law by Governor Deval Patrick, the Post Conviction Access to Forensic and Scientific Analysis Act provides those convicted of a crime a right to access and analyze scientific and forensic evidence from their cases.  The Act also sets up new regulations designed to preserve such evidence.

A very informative article describing this new law has been published in the Boston Bar Jounal can be found HERE.
The full text of the statute can be found HERE.
